We asked Julie, founder of Bluebell Bridal, a few questions about her beautiful shop:
How long have you been open and what is the overall vibe of your bridal shop?
We opened back in 2012! Bluebell Bridal is commonly referred to as the “cool girl” salon for modern brides. Our salon houses carefully curated collections from small, fashion forward design houses who offer modern alternatives to the traditional bridal look.
What sets your salon apart from others?
We really feel our senior stylists have a keen sense of style and provide expert advice. They assist brides every step of the way – from when they first book the appointment, to welcoming them to our salon with their guests, to finding their dream gown. We also work exclusively in our state of Victoria with designers who are ethical and have a focus on sustainability – so you can only find styles we house here.
Best piece of advice for brides beginning their shopping experience?
In meeting your personal Bluebell stylist, take the time to explore not only styles you feel drawn to, but beyond your comfort zone. Sometimes your dream wedding gown can be something very different from what you initially envisioned.
Any other shopping tips?
Our gorgeous loft style salon is located in the heart of Melbourne’s Par Quarter, which also houses international designers such as Chanel, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, and LV. We encourage brides to “make a day in the city” – a visit to Bluebell Bridal can be followed up with a glass of champagne at Nick and Nora’s and a bite at the famed Chin Chin.
