We are thrilled to announce NEWHITE will now be available in Chicago! We asked Giselle, founder of Belle Bridal Atelier, a few questions about her unique shop:
What is the inspiration behind your beautiful bridal shop?
At Belle Atelier we aim to provide a bespoke bridal shopping experience — one that is inclusive and intimate — so that every client feels like a work of art on their wedding day.
Everything we do stems from great design. My background is in design, bridal and luxury fashion, and I have vetted and hand-picked all designers featured in our shop. We’ve carefully designed a beautiful, intimate atelier and a seamless experience that ensures our clients feel comfortable, heard, and attended to.
We are inspired by proper fit and well-designed garment. We believe the alterations on a dress are as important as the dress itself. All of our alterations are done onsite through The Workroom at Belle. Our stylists work personally with each client from start to finish, from helping them find their perfect garment to guiding them through their fittings for their big day.
Best piece of advice for brides beginning their shopping experience?
Do your research! Because of the pandemic, the days of bridal boutique crawls are over, and it’s more important than ever to book appointments wisely. Finding “the one” can be exhausting if you aren’t in the right store. We recommend emailing or calling stores ahead to ask about the designs they carry, as well as pricing.
Only bring key people to your appointment and start early. Most designers are requiring 6 months for orders right now, so we recommend starting 8-9 months before your day to provide ample time for alterations. Lastly, make sure to take it all in and enjoy the experience!
